Lakeland Arts runs a range of cultural destinations in the heart of the Lake District. Renowned for their remarkable venues, collections, programmes, passionate people and deep sense of place they have a complex offer and face some important challenges. We collaborated with them at a pivotal point of transition to reach new audiences and assert their role locally and nationally.
Working in partnership with Connecting Culture on developing a coherent brand strategy, we repositioned the relationship between the different parts of the organisation and clarified what visitors can expect to find at each venue. Our process welcomed a diverse range of voices and collectively we forged a new narrative and core belief, ‘reflecting inspiration’, which runs through every facet of the organisation.
Read more+To bring the brand strategy to life, we developed a confident visual and verbal identity which adapts across the four venues and mother brand. A series of graphic lines flow through the designs – creating a distinct marker for each place whilst binding the family together.
We produced a wide range of design applications and an engaging tone of voice, together with a clear set of brand guidelines. This process of sound strategic thinking supported by design excellence has given Lakeland Arts the confidence to achieve their objectives.
